Desired Candidate Profile

The role of Head Mechanical Maintenance is to look after mechanical maintenance for the whole mill, broadly having knowledge of paper machines and 2 duplex board machines. He should be well conversant with preventive maintenance, spare parts management, budgeting, cost control etc. Experience of project execution and rebuilding of machines will be an added advantage.    As an Ideal for this role you would be around 40-50 years of age, a graduate Engineer (BE/ Btech/Diploma-Mechanical) and have either be a very maintenance exposure in the Paper industry with an achievement of having independently handled all activities related to mechanical maintenance for atleast 10-15 years as a maintenance with responsibility including Spares inventory control and refurbishing old machines. Experience of execution of Project and rebuilding of machines will be an added advantage.
Job Description

•He would be responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance for the whole Mill , broadly for Paper machineries and two duplex Board machineries , ECF pulp mill recovery island.
•Monitoring production losses due to mechanical maintenance failures, spares management, and motivating and guiding a large maintenance workforce.
•He would be responsible for monitoring and Planning of equipments with the department.
•He would be responsible to reduce downtime and spares inventory.
•To ensure that inventory of spares is managed.
•That import substitution of spares is maximized in re – modification of older machines.
•Undertake regular, periodic plant rounds in all Control rooms and Plants under him to check/ensure healthy operating conditions, notice abnormalities and critical problems. Take corrective actions to solve the problems.
•Ensure all mechanical equipments are serviced/repaired/overhauled in workshop with quality and precision to ensure their trouble free functioning in field.
•Assist in failure analysis and implement recommendations to avoid repetitive failures or persistent problems in mechanical equipment/piping systems.
•He would be indirectly be accountable to achieve production targets with minimum break downs and maximization of resources
•He would be responsible to maintain high quality of mechanical service output for minimum break downs.
•Would be accountable for cost saving and reductions within the department.
•He would be responsible for low material consumption & Low Power consumption.
