Technicolor Bangalore is looking for experienced subtitling editors for its QC department.All Editors should be capable of final viewing quality control with 100% accuracy levels. Additional skills required include the ability to import different file formats into subtitling software with no corruption, and the ability to respond to client rejections with accountability for all editing decisions made.This role has both a handoff component to support international offices, and a component of complete ownership of projects.Other duties may be assigned as required in the course of the business unit’s growing needs and requirements. 
Job Description

The role has three main components: verifying all received video, text and subtitle assets are workable and as specified in the client work order; verifying all assets sent to and received from translators and editors are sent in a timely manner and are as specified in the subtitling work orders and all client specs; and delivery of all finalized assets by the agreed deadline to client spec and specific instructions, including frame rate and aspect ratio. The Asset and Delivery Department will support the commissioning of multilingual projects to freelance translators in conjunction with the Subtitling Client Services, Project Coordination, Editor and Technical Departments worldwide by ensuring the integrity of all assets entering and exiting the facility, and will be responsible for all file quality control as well as deliveries to deadline according to all client specifications, including frame rate and aspect ratio. Other duties may be assigned as required in the course of the business unit’s growing needs and requirements.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years working in a Subtitling facility as an English Editor, subtitle project coordinator or subtitle translator. Excellent Subtitling software skills in spotting, editing, positioning and file checking are essential. An understanding of media formats and frame rates is required, as the job will have a major file reformat and conversion component. An understanding of media aspect ratios is equally required, as the job also has a strong subtitle positioning component. Mother tongue in a major subtitling language (English included) is preferred, and subtitle project management experience is an added value. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) are required and Adobe Photoshop is an added value. Technical dexterity is essential.
  Ability to work in shifts a must.
